











The Niagara Regional Team Tennis Doubles League is in its 4th season and was designed and created by Tan Qureshi in 2018 as part of the Niagara Region Tennis Network (NRTN). To date, this Co-Ed Doubles League continues to thrive and grow in the Niagara Region boasting over 48 participants competing on 6 seperate teams, with dozens of hopeful participants on a spares' list and awaiting future seasons. Presently the league is being played on Sunday afternnoons at Welland's Indoor Facility @ Youngs Sportsplex.
The popularity of this League has taken tennis within the Niagara Region to new and exciting heights. It provides an equal opportunity for players from a variety of skill levels, to play in a structured environment with a balanced atmosphere of social and competitive tennis. The teams structure, schedule , results and points are all maintained online to assure organization, transparency and fair play for each participant and team.
In addition, the NRTN is also hosting a Mens' Prize Money Invitational 5.0+ Singles League on Sunday mornings at YSP. This has provided a forum for the highly competitive players, boasting former NCAA players, as well as local Club Teaching Pros.
The primary objective of this league has and always will be equal opportunity for each and every person living in the Niagara Region to play tennis and to help provide positive growth and participation in our sport. Players, Facility Managers and Spectators have praised the experiences.
The NRTN will also be hosting a Regional Tennis Championship, Men and Women Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles spanning over a two week period ( July 19th - Aug. 1st, 2021). It will again be an oppportunity for ALL levels of play and wil be hosted at the Fort Erie Tennis Club. More information and details of registration will be released in the next few months.
